Frequently asked questions

Answers about the apartment and Salvador: airport transfer, beaches, safety, beds, A/C, wifi, parking, check-in, visas and how booking works.

Where exactly is the apartment?

In Caminho das Árvores, a modern residential and business neighborhood in the middle of Salvador, between the Shopping da Bahia and Salvador Shopping malls. Airbnb shares the exact address once your booking is confirmed.

How do I get there from the airport?

The airport is about 20 km away: 20–40 minutes by Uber, 99 or taxi depending on traffic. You can also take metro line 2 from Aeroporto station to Iguatemi station, then walk about 15 minutes or take a short ride.

How far is the beach?

The Pituba seafront is 10–15 minutes by car. Barra and Rio Vermelho are 10–35 minutes away. The apartment isn’t on the beach, but the building has a pool.

Is Caminho das Árvores a good area to stay in?

It’s a calm, upscale residential and business district with malls, parks and restaurants, and the building has a 24-hour doorman. As anywhere in a big city, take app rides at night and keep your phone out of sight on the street.

How many people can stay, and what are the beds?

Up to 4 guests. Each bedroom has a double bed, and there’s a sofa bed in the living room. Infants under 2 don’t count toward the limit.

Is there air conditioning and hot water?

Yes. Both bedrooms have split air conditioning (the second bedroom also has a ceiling fan), and the shower has hot water.

Can I work from the apartment?

Yes. There’s wifi, a glass desk with an ergonomic office chair in the main bedroom and a second desk in the other bedroom. The balcony table works well too.

Is there parking?

Yes, there’s free parking on site, which is handy if you rent a car for day trips.

How does check-in work?

Check-in is from 3 p.m. with a keypad, and arriving late is no problem. Check-out is before noon. You’ll get the code and instructions through Airbnb before your stay, and there’s a 24-hour doorman at the entrance.

How do I book, and is it safe?

Bookings are made only through Airbnb, so your payment is protected and the calendar is always up to date. This website shows availability and sends you to the listing with your dates filled in.

Is it a good base for the 2027 Women’s World Cup?

Yes. Arena Fonte Nova, which hosts seven matches between June 25 and July 12, 2027, is 15–25 minutes by car or a short metro ride away, and you come back to a quiet neighborhood with room for four. See our World Cup guide for match dates and routes.

Is it a good base for Carnaval?

Yes, if you want to sleep well. The apartment is away from the Carnaval circuits, so nights are quiet, and you reach the party by metro or app ride. See our Carnaval 2027 guide for routes and tips.
